1. The app

Smashphone turns your iPhone or Apple Watch into a motion controller for badminton and table tennis that run in a web browser on your local network. It is provided by OZLab ("we", "us") for your personal, non-commercial entertainment.

2. Play safely — hold on to your phone

Smashphone is a physically active game. You are responsible for your own safety, the safety of people and objects around you, and the structural integrity of your phone. Grip the device firmly, use a wrist strap where possible, and keep clear space around you while swinging. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injuries, property damage, or devices that leave your hand at high velocity.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

4. In-app purchases

Badminton is free forever. An optional one-time in-app purchase — the All Sports Pass — unlocks the additional sports (table tennis today, more on the way) and two-player Versus. It is a non-consumable purchase tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on your other devices with Restore Purchases.

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Pricing, billing, taxes, receipts, and any refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms; refund requests go to Apple, not to us. Prices may vary by region and may change over time. We do not process, see, or store any payment information.

5. Optional Apple services

Game Center leaderboards and saving finished matches to Apple Health are optional features delivered through Apple's own services. Your use of them is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. See our Privacy Policy for what this does and doesn't share.

6. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that swing detection will match your intent on every swing — that's sport.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OZLab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

8. Changes

We may update the app and these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
